Collection: RG-59, BNC CABLE
RG59 cable is still widely used throughout the security industry. Although the majority RG-59 cables in the market today are Siamese (a coaxial video cable and a 18 gauge power cable joined and ran together as a single unit), there are many options available where you can run the video and the power separately. This is useful in instances where the recording device is located in a different place than the power source for the camera. RG59, also called "coaxial" CCTV cables normally come in spools of 500' or 1000'. You can also find them in lengths of 100' or even 50'.
The quality of the RG59 coxial CCTV cable is heavily dependant on the component that makes up the wire. Less expensive aluminum RG-59 cables do the job just fine, but they do so at a higher impendance level which results in quality loss. When possible, try to get the wire with highest amount copper possible. The standard in the industry is 95% solid copper. Don't forget to add BNC connectors and compression tools to your order.
